3G, 4G, 4G LTE and 4G VoLTE what does these three words signifies?

There is a huge transformation in Tele communication system starting from the wired network and then transferring to wireless 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 4GLTE, 4GVOLTE.  Days are not pretty far away even for introduction 5G in India. These transformations took place to improve Voice quality, battery life, security, reliability and much more. 1G basically refers to the First generation of wireless telephone technology. It has a speed of 2.4kbps. On arrival of 2G, the speed became up to 64kbps.

And the 3G refers to the Third generation which was introduced in the early 2000s. The data transmission speed increased from 144kbps to 2mbps. Now in the era of 4G on arrival of Jio, there is a boom in data transmission speed. There are several budgets in which many 4G phones are available. Nowadays the 4G phone has become a need of an hour. Everybody is looking at best 4G phone under some or other budget. But there is big confusion whether to go for Android or iOS. These both have pros as well as cons associated with them.

4G technology refers to the fourth generation which was started in the late 2000s. It is capable of providing 100Mbps to 1 Gbps. 4G is the next level above and the kind of replacement for 3G, that provides much faster speeds to users those who browse the Internet and download data. Along with this, it provides higher data rates and expanded multimedia services. It assures you more security, high speed, high capacity and low cost per bit and much more. The speed of 4G means less buffering for the user, and more user-friendly. It enables people to take maximum benefit of the features which are provided by many smartphones and tablets etc.

In the extreme, starting companies were providing 4G-compatible phones although people were only getting the 4G  network in the restricted area only. But nowadays introduction of jio was a boon to the 4G network. Not only jio many other networks also provided 4G coverage to many areas. Most places offer 4G now, but when users with 4G devices are in areas offering the only 3G, smartphones and other devices will switch over to 3G. If this happens you won’t have any talk/voice issues, you will just have slower Internet and downloading speeds.

Most of the people nowadays are using 4G and 4G LTE. Some people consider these two terms are same while other think they are different. Definitely, these are different Specifically, 4G LTE means “fourth-generation long term evolution,” with LTE being a type of 4G that delivers the fastest connection for a mobile internet experience – up to 10 times faster than 3G. 4G LTE is a type of 4G technology, and it delivers the best performance and speeds available today. Users using 3G, 4G or 4G LITE can easily feel the change in speed when they switch from 3G to 4G LTE. If you use a lot of data each month or rely on your smartphone or tablet to browse the Internet, 4G LTE is usually the best choice. 4G LTE networks are extremely fast that when using one on your phone, your Internet experience is about as good as it is on a home computer connected to a modern wireless broadband network.

VoLTE stands for Voice over LTE. It is the main technology for all your voice calls nowadays. On arrival of Jio that came up with VoLTE that is with an all IP network. It basically means that all your calls will be over the IP network. In previous services, users have experienced much-distorted downloads and even messages do not get delivered when one person is on call. These all problems are not technically  present in  VoLTE
